Morgan Freeman Meridian Center Walk of Fame

The Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Center is going to honor Morgan Freeman with Walk of Fame star ahead of the Mississippi State University Riley Center in Meridian on Thursday, May 5. The legendary actor received the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2005 for “Million Dollar Baby.” The center recognize a diverse mix of artists from drama, music, dance, literature and the visual arts.

Jimmie Rodgers was the first person honored whose star was issued on Feb. 15, 2009. Other stars on the Walk of Fame honor Tennessee Williams, B.B. King, Eudora Welty, Marty Stuart, William Faulkner and Sela Ward.
